If someone never asked for your side of the story, then the side they heard is exactly how they have chosen to feel about you. And that right there says everything. Explanations are a gift, and not everyone deserves them. The ones who love you, who respect you, who genuinely value you, they will ask, they will listen, and they will want to understand. That is where your energy belongs, not in convincing someone who is already locked the door and thrown away the key.
So let them keep their version. If that is all they need to sleep at night, let it be. Meanwhile, you move on, you rise, you shine and you leave their whispers choking on your dust.
